Fullerene nanomaterials potentiate hair growth

Study Summary:

This study explored how fullerene nanomaterials (C60) can stimulate hair growth. In experiments with shaved and hairless mice, fullerene-based compounds significantly boosted hair growth and increased the number of hair follicles compared to those treated with a placebo. Fullerene also promoted hair growth in cultured human skin, suggesting it may help with hair loss conditions like alopecia or chemotherapy-induced hair loss.
